Post subject: My cockatiel has a growth on its face

Hi
I have a male cockatiel ,he is in a aviary with other cockatiels , he
has a growth on his face it has not got any bigger and does not stop
him from eating ect, the other birds are fine , should iIwait and see
if it bothers him or is it kinder to have him put sleep before it
does.

No! Don't have him put to sleep! Take him to an avian vet first and have
the vet look at this growth.

Growths can be very bad, depending on what it is only a vet can tell you,
possibly just by looking or a scraping of it for testing. I had a budgie
with a growth on its face, vet removed it and he's still kickin,(some sort
of tumor) could be just a deformity too, be safe with a vet checkup, your
tiel depends on you
